Worship Leaders

Randall Goulard

Randall has been leading worship since he was 14.  Nothing gives him greater joy!  He graduated from Pacific Union College (’05) with a business degree but finds true fulfillment in using his talents to serve the church.  He has led worship in youth, college, contemporary and traditional settings all over the country, always with his unique style.  Being from “the city” he enjoys the more relaxed pace of the Conejo Valley.  His philosophy of worship is simple…God reveals, we respond! In addition to worship Randall also leads our Young Adult Ministry.

Our Mission

The mission of all of us at The Place is to become disciples of Jesus, intimately in love with God; and expressing His love in creative service, witness and fellowship.

Our Vision

The Place is a community of believers who are devoted to Jesus Christ and to one another. We are growing together into maturity as followers of Jesus. We are seeking to be intimately in love with our God. We are striving to express His love creatively in all we do – whether in worship together, in witness to our community, and in fellowship with one another. Our vision is to be a place where God is magnified and people are committed to growing together in their relationships with Jesus.

Our Beliefs

The Place is a Christian community that is part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We believe in Jesus Christ and his love for us as expressed in his life, death, and resurrected life. And, in that hope of a new life in Jesus and eternity with Him, we believe that together we can encourage one another and lift each other up daily as we grow into mature disciples of Jesus. As disciples, our desire is to creatively communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community.

Services

Saturday Morning at The Place

The demands seems so great, the time too short. So many of us feel pressed for time – earning a living, caring for dependents, cleaning house, while trying to exercise, nurture relationships, sleep and eat in between. Saturday is our Sabbath – our special day to take a break from the daily grind, spending quality time in worship, and nurturing relationships with family and friends.

9:45 AM – Community Prayer Time

Each Saturday morning, we gather from 9:45 a.m. in the main sanctuary for a time of prayer. We pray for one another, for the needs in our church family, for our church, or community, our nation and world. This is an informal time and everyone is invited. Come and join us as we petition our Heavenly Father and listen for His leading through the powerful communication of prayer.

10:30 AM – Community Bible Study

Children’s Bible Classes All our children’s classes (our Sabbath School) meet in our facilities just to the side of the main sanctuary (to the right, if you’re facing the church from the parking lot).

Class Age Beginner 0 to 3 Kindergarten 4 to 6 Primary 7 to 9 Junior 10 to 14 Youth 15 to 18

Adult Bible Study Groups

Our adult Bible study and fellowship groups are open to everyone in the community. Currently, we have several different classes running each Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

11:30 AM – Community Worship

Our worship services combine contemporary praise and worship music with messages from Pastor Simon Liversidge that strengthen your walk with God. Once a month (usually the second Sabbath of each month), we have children’s church in our youth chapel.
