New To The Place?

We’re a contemporary Seventh-day Adventist church serving the Southern California communities of Ventura, Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Moorpark, and Simi Valley. We’re passionate about our love for Jesus. This is reflected in the passionate worship we share and seeking for God in our private lives.

Worship services are Saturdays at 11:30 am with Pastor Simon Liversidge. All ages worship together at The Place, in a contemporary and casual atmosphere. Pastor Simon’s conversational style engages young and old as he carefully teaches from the Word of God.

During the 10:30 hour, we meet for community Bible Study (our Sabbath School). Classes are available for toddlers, kids, junior and senior high youth, collegiates, and adults. We’ve created safe, fun, and Biblical environments for your kids and teens. Come visit our Sabbath School rooms and meet dedicated staff and volunteers.

At The Place, we welcome people from all walks of life and all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. If you are seeking to know Jesus for the first time or have been walking with him for a long time already, we invite you to make The Place your home and join us on that journey.

This Week at The Place - Happy Memorial Day Weekend

We welcome you to The Place this coming Sabbath.  This week Pastor Simon will continue preaching through A Discipleship Journey with a sermon titled "I Believe in the Cross", based on Luke 23.  We look forward to having Robin Shea lead us in praise and worship; also Frank Grubb, a representative from World Vision will share with us and have special music as he invites us to consider the needs of kids around the world; and we invite you to stay after church services as the cafe will be open with snacks and refreshments.We invite you to take some time this weekend to pray and thank and REMEMBER all those who have served and fought to protect our freedoms.

We have food drive and ACTION day coming up; VBS; X-MO camp for visually disabled; 4 Sabbaths of community service in July and mission projects in Honduras and Panama! You may give with no fees involved at www.theplacechurch.com or at The Place.  God bless.  New Marriage Sabbath School Class This SaturdayPastor Simon and Cecilia will be starting a new Sabbath School class this coming Saturday.  The topic will be marriage and the class will begin at 10:30.   Pastor Simon and Cecilia will be using the curriculum based on the book "Love and War" by John and Stasi Eldredge.  This week we will meet for a time of prayer, fellowship and introduction to the journey God is calling us to...a deeper and more Godly marriage.
