At The Place we value our kids immensely and believe they have been entrusted to us by God. Our goal is to partner with parents along the journey in raising their children to know the love of God with all of their hearts so they can share that love with others and live lives which bring glory and honor to Him.
We design EVERY worship service with our children in mind. We invite our children to participate frequently in our worship and in music…as well as leading us in prayer and drama. We also invite our children to “sit up front” and feel like they are involved in our service and worship, rather than just being spectators. You will often find our children worshiping and jumping up and down for joy in the Lord.
Our Sabbath School children’s programs are divided up by various ages/stages. The Sabbath School classes meet each Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in our Children’s Wing…the “Little Place.”
CRADLE ROLL (Infants to 3-year-olds): Each week our teachers use music, story and hands-on learning to teach our infants and toddlers the stories of Jesus and the Bible. Parents and grandparents are invited to come and participate.
PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN: Using the Gracelink Curriculum, Bible stories, music and hands-on activities, children get a glimpse of how amazing God is.
FIRST & SECOND GRADE: Students begin to read the Bible for themselves utilizing kid-friendly Hands-On Bibles and memorable object lessons. High quality music videos engage the students in worship, scripture memory and fun.
THIRD – FIFTH GRADE: Bible Buzz creatively engages students through games, lively discussion and important Biblical themes. Topics emphasize areas of Bible study which are often missed in the course of traditional children’s ministry such as: storms of the Bible, Proverbs and minor prophets.
JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH (6th- 8th grades): Our junior high ministry is designed to capture the attention of pre-teens so that Jesus can capture their hearts. In addition to the traditional SS class, monthly vespers, social activities, community service, camps and retreats round out the program. Committed leaders, strong friendships and solid Biblical teaching prepare junior highers for the many challenges of high school.
