~Donate a gift for Christmas Shoppe
CHRISTMAS SHOPPE - each year The Place participates in a ministry by ActionVC which provides Christmas gifts for under-resourced families in Ventura County. You can donate a NEW UNWRAPPED gift by December 9th. There are BOXES in the lobby at The Place. You can also VOLUNTEER at the actual event on December 11th and help families "shop" for their gifts. ~Join us for The Place Christmas Party next Saturday night (following our afternoon service and showing the Christmas Special with The Chosen afterwards)
All are invited to a special Sabbath worship/Christmas extravaganza on Saturday, Dec. 11th at 4 p.m. at The Place. (We will also have a 11:30 a.m. service in the Youth Chapel.) We will have a special telling of the Christmas story, worship, music and lots of fun as we celebrate together.

Following our service, at 5:30 p.m. we will have a Fellowship Dinner/Christmas party with a visit from Santa! Please bring a gift for your little one if you would like Santa to help deliver it. And you will have a chance to sign up online to bring a dish.

At 7 p.m. (Dec. 11th after our Christmas worship and dinner) ALL are invited to a very special Christmas viewing of the brand-new Christmas episode of THE CHOSEN. This is ONLY available in movie theaters or churches who have signed up to show it. It is a great opportunity to BRING a friend. ~Get involved with Community Service
|
The Place is once again participating in the LA Marathon (or 1/2 marathon) in our efforts to raise money to build wells for needy kids around the world. The Place will partner with Team World Vision on March 20, 2022. Every $50 raised provides one LIFETIME of clean water for a child! ~Update on the Homeless Sisters from Rob Randall
Gratitude to The Place for opening your heart. I am so thankful to announce that we exceeded $1000 last week. They are getting new tires this week. I will collect funds one more time today as their needs are unrelenting. I will stand at the door after service (their CDs as gift for donation). Praying God works a miracle where they don’t have this need again! Jesus said, “We have the poor with us always.” There may always be people in need around us if we have eyes to see. You have shown your beautiful hearts. Thank you!
