~40 Day Fast begins on March 6th
What a blessing to GROW in Jesus together. We invite YOU to join our church family for our 40-day annual Pre-Easter FAST starting Sunday. March 6, 2022. It finishes on Friday evening, April 15th, Good Friday.EVERYONE is invited to FAST in any way you like! You can FAST FROM something: food, Daniel fast, technology, social media, etc. Or Fast FOR something: Bible study, prayer, service, kindness, etc. But we would love to SUPPORT you on the fast - so please sign up at church to let us know so we can be praying for you.

~Hume Lake High School Winter Camp-THIS WEEKEND!
A group of our high school youth have gone to Winter Camp @ Hume Lake this weekend. Please pray for each of them to encounter a living and incredible God and for their safety.

~YESS Soccer starts on Sunday, March 13th
|
All young people are invited to join YESS soccer on Sunday mornings for 10 weeks starting Sunday. March 13th from 9:30 - 11 a.m. at the CAES field in Newbury Park. We will have 3 age groups: 3–5-year-old; 6 - 9-year-old; and 10–13-year-old. Older young people are invited to volunteer to help. Cost is $20 per child ($15 for each additional child in a family).

~"Slime Sabbath" a Children's Ministry Event-moved to March 19th
All kids preK-5th are invited to attend our next Children's Ministry Event on Sabbath afternoon, March 19th following church services. We will have a "Slime Sabbath" complete with slime, activities, snacks, and a devotion for kids to enjoy. We hope to see your kiddos there!

Hillsong United Concert Tickets-we have MORE tickets!
The Place has group tickets for the Hillsong UNITED and Chris Tomlin Concert Saturday night, April 2, 2022, at 7 p.m. at Banc of California Stadium in LA. We have 12 general admission tickets (stand by the stage) and 26 seats. Tickets are $25 each. To join us, sign up using the link below:

~Maranatha Mission Trip August 2022
The Place will be going on a Maranatha Mission Project early August 2022 to Ica, Peru. We will be finishing the construction of an Evangelism/Health Education Center, sharing a VBS with the kids and having a medical/dental outreach to the community. Cost is TBD as of now but will be only $150 for the project fee and actual cost of travel.

~New Small Group
|
Pastor Cameron and Alexa have started a new young adult small group meeting on Sunday late afternoons. Please let them know if you are interested.
|
We are also looking to form a new depression recovery group with Sam Gomez leading out. If you are interested, please talk to one of the pastors.

And, if you are interested in forming a new small group let one of the pastors know.

~Read the Bible together in 40 days started February 21st:

We INVITE you to SIGN UP to READ the BIBLE together ONLINE during the 40 days before Easter. February 21 - April 15.

We started reading through the Bible this week (using Arla's stories written as the back-story of the Bible from the perspective of our God of love) and it has been such a blessing!

We have once again purchased tickets for the July 4th Fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl.

This year we'll be going on July 2nd and Steve Martin and Martin Short are going to be joining the always amazing Los Angeles Philharmonic.
