This Sabbath @ The Place- 2 SERVICES
This Sabbath we will have 2 services. The first service will be held at 11:30 in the chapel and the second service will be held at 4 pm in the sanctuary. There will be Sabbath School for all ages at 10:30 in the courtyard (Jr. High & High School SS will be held in the chapel).

This week we'll continue our sermon series on the book of Hebrews titled "Life in the Son."
|
Pastor Simon will share a sermon focused on Hebrews 9:11-28. Pastor Cameron is our lead worshiper and we welcome Bobby Jackson as a member at The Place!

~"Guys Night" happening this Monday evening, May 16th @ Sunil's home

All guys are invited to come and hang out this Monday, May 16th at 6:30 p.m. for a guy's night (1451 Menta Lane, Camarillo.) Come and play basketball, ping-pong or just hang out for dinner together (please bring $5 for dinner.)

~Congratulations to Sam & Nancy Quiroz on baby boy Josiah
Sam & Nancy Quiroz welcomed their second son, Josiah on May 11th. Josiah weighed in at 7lbs 4oz. If you would like to bless this sweet family with some culinary relief, please sign up by clicking on the link below to provide a meal beginning May 24th.

~Attend the Memorial Service for Lupe Mora next Saturday, May 21st-sign up for fellowship lunch

Everyone is invited to come and celebrate the life of Lupe Mora on Sabbath afternoon, May 21st at 2 p.m. at The Place church. After the worship service we will have a FELLOWSHIP LUNCH. All are invited to come and to bring a dish to share then the Memorial will follow. Thanks so much for all your prayers and love for Lupe. We pray that we can continue to love on Manuel and Gracie. Please continue to pray for them and reach out and love on them.

~Jr. High & High School parents please meet with new Youth Pastor Urijah this Wednesday evening, May 18th @ 6pm
All youth (high school) and Jr. High parents are invited to come and meet with Urijah this Wed. May 18th at 6 p.m. at The Place. Drop your kids off for youth group and come and help Urijah make plans for this summer and beyond. We need our parents to help Urijah (and Cameron) bless our kids in the best possible way. ~VBS Leader's Meeting on Sabbath morning, May 21st

There will be a quick meeting and continental breakfast on Sabbath morning, May 21st for VBS leaders. Monumental VBS curriculum will be dispersed. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH @ 9:30 AM on MAY 21st.

~Join us for our next Beach Vespers on May 27th
All are invited to attend our next Beach Vespers happening on Friday evening, May 27th @ Sycamore Cove beginning at a 6 p.m . We will have praise and worship and enjoy a hot dog dinner together, please bring a side, salad, or dessert to share.

~Consider volunteering for "Monumental" VBS coming June 27-July 1st
This year kids can off-road for a "Monumental" adventure through the colorful canyons and sunbaked trails of the southwest. By exploring God’s awesomeness, kids form a rock-solid faith for the road ahead.
|
All kids PreK-5th are invited to attend VBS the week of June 27th-July 1st at Conejo Adventist Elementary School from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $25 for the first child and $10 for each additional child.
|
Volunteers are needed! Please contact Cecilia if you or your high school aged child is interested in helping out during the week.

~YESS Soccer this Sunday, May 15th
All young people are invited to join YESS soccer this coming Sunday morning from 9:30-11:30am at the CAES field in Newbury Park. We have 3 age groups: 3–5-year-old; 6 - 9-year-old; and 10–13-year-old.

~Baptisms @ Sunil & Natalie's home on 6/3
All are welcome to an evening of baptisms at Sunil & Natalie's home the evening of June 3rd. Several of the kids who attend Conejo Adventist Elementary School will be baptized that evening.

~Participate in our Maranatha Mission Trip August 2022
|
The Place will be going on a Maranatha Mission Project early August 2022 to Ica, Peru. We will be finishing the construction of an Evangelism/Health Education Center, sharing a VBS with the kids and having a medical/dental outreach to the community. Cost is TBD as of now but will be only $150 for the project fee and actual cost of travel.
