Dr. Simon Liversidge

Senior Pastor

Pastor Simon was born in Australia and grew up in a missionary family in New Guinea. He moved with his family to the United States and graduated from Andrews University with a B.A. in Psychology and French. He then obtained a J. D. from UCLA school of Law in 1992. He practiced as an attorney doing corporate litigation for three years before entering the ministry. He completed his Master of Divinity degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Simon then served as an Associate Pastor at Norwalk Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he was also involved in a church plant in West Los Angeles. Pastor Simon was ordained on September 14, 2002. He and Cecilia were married on October 13, 2002 and he has been the lead pastor of The Place since 2003. Pastor Simon completed his Doctor in Ministry in Organizational Leadership from Andrews University in 2019. He finally wrote his first book, “The Sanguma Tree”, which tells amazing stories from his dad’s missionary adventures. Simon and Cecilia have three kids, sons Liam and Luc and daughter Mia.

Alejandro Martinez

Pastor of Visitation

Alejandro served in youth ministry in Southern California before relocating to the San Fernado Valley. He loves Jesus, the Bible and Outreach Ministry. He has a gift for teaching important Biblical truths in an engaging, humorous and energetic way. He joined the pastoral staff at The Place summer 2013. He is married to his beautiful wife Katheryne for the past 4yrs. He loves surfing, skateboarding and friends.

Cameron Fitzgerald

Youth & Young Adult Pastor

Cameron Fitzgerald grew up in Walla Walla, WA and attended Walla Walla University. While there he earned his B.A. in Theology with a minor in Biblical Languages. Cameron first came to The Place in the summer of 2019 for a few months before accepting a call to pastor for the Southern California Conference. He has a passion for showing people the love of Jesus in a diverse way, whether that is through Bible studies, coaching sports, or leading worship. He strives to meet people where they are and show them who they are to God. Cameron married his wife Alexa—a kindergarten teacher at Linda Vista Adventist Elementary—in June of 2020.
