
Ron Sydney
Lead Pastor
Pastor Ron Sydney was born and raised on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. With receiving both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Theology, and an associate degree in Biblical Languages, Pastor Ron has pastored in 4 conferences and multiple churches.
Ron has a passion for people, regardless of age, lifestyle, cultural background, or ethnicity. “Creating a safe environment within our church, so the unchurched feel welcome” is a constant motto in his ministry life. Ron also loves leading through the empowering of others. He believes that in God’s ‘army’, we live and operate in community and as a team.
Pastor Sydney has preached revivals and evangelistic campaigns on many University campuses and churches throughout the US, Canada, England, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Australia, Bolivia, Romania, and Peru. “I love The Place community. I am excited to serve in a church that loves God and loves people; ALL people.”

Alejandro Martinez
Pastor of Visitation
Alejandro served in youth ministry in Southern California before relocating to the San Fernado Valley. He has been in ministry for the past 20yrs. He loves Jesus, the Bible and Outreach Ministry. He has a gift for teaching important Biblical truths in an engaging, humorous and energetic way. He joined the pastoral staff at The Place summer 2013. He is married to his beautiful wife Katheryne for the past 11yrs. He loves surfing, skateboarding and friends.

Urijah Saenz
Youth & Young Adult Pastor
Pastor Urijah Saenz was born and raised in the beautiful state of Oregon, where he grew to love camping, Jesus, and youth ministry. Over the past 13 years, he has served in a variety of youth ministry roles, including five summers as a camp counselor at Big Lake Youth Camp, teaching 7th–8th grade in Pohnpei, Micronesia, working in child protective services in Walla Walla, WA, teaching high school Bible classes, and six years of pastoral youth ministry experience.
He graduated from Walla Walla University with a degree in Social Work and Religion and now serves in his fourth year as the Youth Pastor at The Place SDA Church. There, he leads a student-led youth ministry called ECHO, a Jr. High program on Wednesdays, the Children’s Sabbath School teams each Sabbath, and Bible studies throughout the year at local elementary and high schools—plus countless in-betweens.
Urijah’s passions include sharing the Good Gospel, mentoring young people in leadership, and taking others on adventures.
